The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Fighters Table

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a colorful mix of personalities, and a thrilling plot showcasing angels, fiends, and malevolent powers expanding in power within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Key plot points for Episode 3 of the new season are included.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

The third episode finished on a huge suspense moment and revealed the premier party of adventurers who will branch out from the central cast to embark on their independent quest, separate from the remaining groups.

This warrior group consists of the determined fighter (played by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

Given 13 cast members, it was obvious from the beginning that having everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

That’s why, the initial installments of this story serve as an Introduction, intertwining the individual narratives before branching into three separate parties: Soldiers, Schemers, and Explorers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for participants who enjoy a classically intense combat and conflict-driven story mode where non-violent answers are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the reluctant priest the cleric might appear out of place, but the actions of the third episode show why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the warrior group.

Reasons to Leave

First, the group understands precisely where to proceed after a brutal first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose demise started the narrative’s action—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, breaking into the secret base, assaulting the character, and swiping all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The traitor then cleared his liabilities and escaped to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each character has a specific drive to depart the metropolitan area:

  • Thimble, as the companion and best friend, wants vengeance.
  • Kattigan has experience in the northern area and cautions that it is a dangerous location.
  • The warrior and The cleric, having defied his relatives’ demands to eliminate Teor and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their position as prominent individuals in the powerful family could enable the party reach locations they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character pledged a eternal obligation to The cleric for his rescue and will now accompany him anywhere.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are sought by the rulers that rule Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The cleric turned against the powerful family and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • Teor is targeted for elimination by the family.

This results in them no alternative but to journey toward the remote area in pursuit of the traitor.

What’s Next?

According to the recent installment’s post-show segment, we find out that the combat party won’t be around next week, leaving the remaining eight players to round up the Seekers and Schemers groups.

Audiences can anticipate learning which characters will be in which group in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, released on the upcoming Thursday.
