I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually happening.
